Title of project: History of Singapore in the 1950s-1960s

Pupils are to
1.work in groups with maximum of 6 members;
2. look for a variety of sources related to the History of Singapore in the 1950s-1960s and compile the sources in a file;
3.write an article for the local newspaper/magazine that answers the question "What is Singapore like politically, economically and socially in the 1950s-1960s?"
4.submit both the article and the sources in a file by the first history lesson in Term 3, 2009 to the class chairperson.
NOTE: This project consists of 5% of CA2.

Aaaaaaaand one more thing: Are you guys up for a class outing or something? Cos it's like "traditional" (is that the right word?) for every class to have one. I'm not too keen on the planning thing though.
